Health Canada and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) have announced updates to the Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) program that affect how Israeli citizens apply for both short visits and longer stays.
Under the updated requirements, applicants whose passports were issued with a temporary or emergency validity may need to provide additional documentation before an eTA can be issued. The change follows a tightening of document rules across all visa-free countries.
Most Israeli travelers are unaffected, but anyone traveling with an older passport, or whose records match a flagged name, should expect longer processing. We recommend applying at least 72 hours before departure.
Our team re-checks every application before submission to IRCC, catching document issues that often cause delays or denials. Start your application on our Canada eTA page or jump straight into the online application.
